Movie Description: Once upon a time, Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippopotamus lived in the New York Zoo. But when they tried to escape, they were caught and sent on a ship to faraway Africa. After the ship sank, the travelers ended up in Madagascar. There they, who had been under human care all their lives, had to adjust to an unfamiliar environment and learn the cruel laws of the jungle.
