Laundries (new system)
As a student living in J13, you don’t have to bring dirty clothes home. You can wash everything in the laundry room on campus.
The laundry room is located on the ground floor at the end of the hallway, near the ping pong tables and the beginning of block 5. There is a charge for the laundry. Keys are available at reception on presentation of your ISIC card.
Iron
You do not need to buy your own iron if you want to iron your own clothes. You can borrow one together with an ironing board at the J13 reception desk upon presentation of your accommodation card.
Vacuum cleaners
You must keep your room tidy and clean. If necessary, you can borrow a vacuum cleaner. Just come down to the porterage, hand in your accommodation card and take the vacuum cleaner. After using the vacuum cleaner, you can go back to the porter’s office to get your ISIC back.
Laundries (old system)
There are a total of 4 laundry rooms, 5/28, 5/48, 6/28 and 6/48. The procedure is simple. At the beginning of the semester, during pre-announced registration (internet, laundry rooms, gyms), you register and pay a fee to the SR J13 Civic Association, a portion of which is used to maintain and upgrade the laundry rooms. Laundromats open with an ISIC card, whose chip number must be entered at registration. If you do not have an ISIC card, you may apply (at the same time as additional registration) for a long-term loan of a chip to open laundry rooms in Room 6/41. A deposit of 2€ is payable. If you want to do laundry, simply click on j13.sk/laundry, book a time and the laundry that suits you best. During the selected time, the reserved laundry can be opened with your ISIC.
The maximum time of use of the washing machine for one student is 10 hours per week. Please make sure that you keep to the times you have chosen. If you violate the laundry rules or do not meet the end of the laundry time, your laundry account may be blocked and you will be prevented from doing laundry for one month.
For students who use the on-campus laundry facilities, there are always drying facilities that are part of the laundry rooms available for 24 hours. Access to the drying room for 15 minutes can be requested by clicking on the Drying Room link on the j13.sk/laundry page.
